MARCH 2010 The student hub moves to a new home at 272 High Holborn
FEBRUARY 2010 The unions puts togther UAL's first University challenge team
AUGUST 2006 Wimbledon School of Art merges with UAL becoming Wimbledon College of Art

JANUARY 2005 Chelsea College of Arts & Design relocates to Mill Bank
MAY 2004 The London Institute is granted university status and becomes University of the Arts London.
 NOVEMBER 2003 London College of Printing becomes London College of Communication

OCTOBER 2003 Byam Shaw merges into Central Saint Martins

The London Institure is granted research degree awarding powers

2000 Cordwainers college merged into LCF
1999 Drama centre London merges into CSM

1996-98
 Union office is  based at 388 – 396 Oxford Street
 

1998 Coat of arms issues to the London Institute

1993 Institute taught dehree awarding powers approved

1990 London College of Printing and The College of Distributive trades merges to form London college of printing and distributive trades.

 
 1989 Central School of Art & Design and St Martins School of Art Merge to form Central Siant Martins. The two unions also merge to create a CSM President role within the union.
 
 1989/1990 The founding year of the student footbal team, the first year the union took part in competitive sport
 
 1988 Education reform act

1986 Establishment of the London Institute
