Support for students is offered in many different ways at University of the Arts London, and the Students' Union are here to offer advice to students in need.
Below are some services available to you at UAL.
The Advice & Support Service
The Students' Union Advice & Support Service is here to support, advise and help you on issues that may be affecting your time at university.
We can help with the following concerns:
Academic: Have you been accused of academic misconduct, cheating or plagiarism? Do you want to appeal a grade? Do you have extenuating circumstances outside of your control that are affecting your academic performance?
Complaints Against the University? Do you want to make a complaint about a member of staff, or University Service? Are you having problems with your Halls of Residence? Is the reality of your course different to how it was advertised?
Discrimination and Your Rights? Have you been subject to discrimination because of your race? age? disability status? religion? sexuality? gender? or any other factor? Have you been treated unfairly on your course or at work?
This list is by no means exclusive, and if there is anything else worrying you, and you fear it will affect your academic life, come and see us. We will also point you in the direction of other sources that can help you if another service is more specialised in that field.
Our Problem Solving & Prevention Team Advisers are:
Aisling Wootten, Ali Weyli, Nadia Benardout, Samantha Goldby and
Anna Dodridge (Welfare & Support Manager)
