Capoeira is an Afro-Brazillian art form that incorporates dance and fighting movements, music, poetry and theatre in a flowing and acrobatic game played between two people to the rhythm of the berimbau. Capoeira helps develop fitness, flexibility, strength, coordination, balance and rhythm. Classes will be taught by Master Joãozinho da Figueira of Capoeira MarAzul.
Capoeira Society runs two sessions per week on Tuesday and Thursday in the Activities Studio on High Holborn. Sessions run from 5pm – 7pm. You are welcome to come to either of those two sessions, or both.
After this, prices are:
£6 – Single session
£50 – Term ticket (10 sessions)
£80 – Double term ticket (20 sessions)

If you're not that familiar with Capoeira, or want to get to know the group, do come along to a few classes before deciding on whether you'd like to become a member. Classes are open to beginners throughout the year.
