SU Arts is built on the work of student volunteers and could not function without their support and commitment. Volunteers fulfil a variety of roles from representational positions such as Course Reps and college committee members, to editorial team roles for Less Common More Sense, supporting other students as Buddies and community involvement positions in schemes such as RAG and Ideal.

Volunteering opportunities within SU Arts are available for every student, no matter what skills, experience, or time available you have to offer.
Volunteering can provide a number of benefits to you as a student:
· Personal development; enhance skills such as time management, communication, teamwork skills, leadership skills and more
· Boost your portfolio; get involved in opportunities relevant to your course and add a practical element to your work
· New experiences; try out something that you’ve always been interested in, or throw yourself in the deep end with something new
· Meet new people; volunteering opens the door to meeting students, staff and members of the community you might never have worked with
· Help others; get that feel-good factor by giving something back to your local community
· Increase your employability; show potential employers something more than just a degree and stand out above other students
Explore the individual schemes within the website, or visit our Volunteer site for an overview of all the opportunities available to you.
