What is SUARTS?
SUARTS is the student representative body for the 26,000 students spread across all 6 colleges of the University of the Arts London. Elected student officers and a dedicated staff team provide students with advice, support and representation during their time of study. SUARTS also provides opportunities for students to socialise, network and develop skills through a diverse range of services.
Democracy, openness and accountability are at the heart of all we do. Students elect representative on a University, College and Course level, by working with student reps and engaging in democracy at SUARTS individual students are able to help shape the educational and social experience of students at UAL, in London and throughout the UK.
Organising Students to Effectively Represent their Peers
Students are able to elect their own representatives on their course and which students represent them on college committees. These reps will gain training and support from Officers and Staff at SUARTS. Student representatives have a unique opportunity to improve the quality of education and support at UAL, SUARTS is proud to support them in this.
Providing High Quality Advice and Support to Students
University is supposed to be one of the best times in your life, but sometimes things can get a bit too much. SUARTS provides a range of advice, representation, support and referral services for students who need it the most.
The reason SUARTS exists is to make life good for our students. As soon as you arrive at University of the Arts London, you are automatically a member of your Students’ Union – this means that you can make full use of the services we provide
SUARTS provides students with unique opportunities to shape their lives as students. Offering a diverse range of student run activities and development opportunities as well as being the bedrock of student social life on campus. SUARTS differs from many other organisations in that we are completely student focussed and student led, this means if there aren’t the opportunities here that you want, with your help SUARTS can make them happen.
