//What difference does it all make?
The people you are voting for have a major part to play in the work of the Students' Union and therefore representing you on both a local and national level.
//How do I vote?
Votes are cast online through this website (www.suarts.org/vote) You do not have to be registered with our website to vote but you will need your University 'LDAP' Logon Details. This is the username and password you use for Blackboard, Open Access PCs and webmail. If you're not sure you have this try logging on to Blackboard now as a test (http://blackboard.arts.ac.uk) If you can get on there you should be able to get onto our voting system.
You'll be able to vote for all positions in your College, and all University-wide posts.
You can access the voting system from any computer in the world at any time of the day or night during the voting period.
We will also be using paper voting this year. This will take place at various sites with Student Union staff overseeing the process. You will need to have your student card with you to vote here.

//Who or what is RON?
RON stands for Re-Open Nominations and is a 'candidate' in all of the elections that we run. If you don't think any of the candidates are suitable - for example if you don't agree with their policies - then you can cast a vote for RON. If RON wins the election then we ask for new candidates to come forward and we run the election again.
//I am having trouble logging in
Firstly make sure you are logging in to the right area. The Voting login will appear in the middle of the web page, do NOT try to log in using the section in the top right corner as this is for the website only and not the voting section.
If you are trying to log in and you are getting errors such as 'you password is incorrect' or 'your username is incorrect' then please go to your local library or IT helpdesk (including open access IT) and they can correct the problem for you.
