Catherine Hieatt

Open : 2nd-12th November
Venue: We Are Arts Gallery, CSM

 ‘Conceivable’ a series of four 30 second video art works.

Hieatt is an award winning video artist studying MA in Fine Art at CSM.
Hieatt’s artwork is sexualised and charged, and is seemingly a conduit for sexual metaphor. Hieatt uses and abuses advertising techniques from tv culture. The artwork here is playful, tripping us up & forcing a double take! If Hieatt can be said to have an artistic intention it is to address sexual dynamics without being sexy and to observe a nudity without the nude.

About the space

we are arts CSM gallery is based in the Southampton Row site, on the first floor of Red Lion Square.

The space is suitable for a variety of solo and group shows.
